Sound Proofing, Sound Block, Sound Reduction; whatever you want to call it, it is not an exact science. You can spend just about as much as you want and get as technical as you want when it comes to trying to make your aircraft less noisy. We like the "common sense approach." It just makes sense to do something while the interior is removed. In the photo we are installing a sound product which is relatively inexpensive and improves the three areas of concern for most of the older aircraft. The old fiber glass type insulation is (A) messy (B) usually contains musty odors and (C) although it has thermal qualities it provides no significant sound barrier. SoundEX is great for most aircraft with a number of products for sound proofing and we can design a package based on your aircraft needs. The end product is clean, odorless and quieter. When the interior is removed for inspections there won't be any fiber glass particles falling down. If any of the Sound Ex has to be removed for maintenance, no problem, since it is not glued in place it can be removed and reinstalled with ease. |
